2026 Watering Recommendations

To help conserve water and ensure a reliable supply for our community, the following watering recommendations are in effect for 2026:

Outdoor Watering Guides
  • Water turf and landscaping no more then two times per week.
    • 20 minutes per station for pop-up sprinkler heads
    • 40 minutes per station for rotary sprinkler heads
  • Watering is not permitted between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
  • Do not water the same area on consecutive days
  • Avoid excessive watering.

System Maintenance
  • Promptly repair any leaking water lines or damaged sprinkler heads.
  • Adjust sprinkler heads to prevent water from running onto sidewalks, drives, or gutters.

Landscaping Recommendations
  • For new landscaping, we encourage the use of xeriscaping and other low water-use design practices to maintain beautiful, water-efficient outdoor spaces.

The South Willard Land Use Plan Open House was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who came and participated.

Members of Willard, South Willard, and Box Elder County gathered to discuss the future land use and zoning of South Willard. Questions regarding annexation were answered, and Mayor Travis Mote emphasized that while there are multiple applications from independent land owners for annexation, Willard City is not actively purposing to annex South Willard in Willard City limits. The Open House was an opportunity for residents of South Willard to come and express their opinion about what future zoning they would like to see in South Willard.
